BB2 Loads Game, then both displays go dark
« on: December 01, 2020, 05:27:55 PM »
I have a question that I think I already know the answer to, but I wanted to run it by the experts first.

I bought an extra BB2 with a standard button panel so I could run the older non-OLED type games. It's had Star Trek episodic 4 in it for several months and I've enjoyed earing the medals to progress up through the different levels.

A couple of nights ago we had some high winds and rain and around 3am the power went out. So I got up and turned off all of my machines so they wouldn't power up once the electricity came back on. That way I could check each one as I wanted. They're all on surge protectors as well.

Anyway, I powered up Star Trek and everything went normally and booted the game just as it's supposed to. Had images on both displays and then nothing.

Both screens went black and bottom monitor says "No Signal Input".

Does it sound like my Video Card inside the CPU is bad? Or could this be another issue all together?

I tried it again this morning, same scenario.

Game fully loads, then screens to black. But I have normal video on both displays during the entire boot process.

I really don't want to clear it and start all over, losing my progress on the game, but I'm out of options. I know I can always get there again, but it's a long process.

Just looking for some inputs and ideas of what the problem might be.

Thanks, Curtis ash100

Try swapping video cards. It won’t impact on your game progress.
If it ain't broke don't mess with it.....

Put a different Video Card in the CPU, seems to have fixed the issue.

All of the progress is saved and have good video on both monitors.

We'll see how long this card lasts.
