S+ Planet Hollywood tournament
« on: January 05, 2017, 07:26:00 PM »
Hey everybody I hope I am posting this in the right section as I am new here but i thought it might be nice to post a lil about my new S+ machine. I got this guy for free and was told that nothing worked except for the lights. Got it home looked inside and of course anything to do with currency has been taken out but she plays perfect in tournament mode with a 5min timer lol. Has anyone else seen a game with this style of graphics on it?

Generally speaking casino themed games are simply versions of other games with different graphics. The reason is that creating a new theme and getting it certified is a very very expensive process.
This is why you see so many game clones and when S+ was retired for the S2000...the games like Double Diamond were re-established on the new platform.

In this case your graphics are very cool and very rare.

On the home page you can find a link to the S+ game bible and find what the underlying theme is.
You compare the top glass pay table with whats in the game bible.
I would suggest starting on the tournament themes first as this will narrow the search.

You can then get alternate chips for your theme so it plays as a regular slot.
Picking up a coin comparator and hopper off of ebay or any of the vendors on the home page will be relatively inexpensive.

If you can't afford to lose you can't afford to win.

Groovy thank you very much for the info and the compliment. I tried to do some research on the machine when I first got it but looking it up by the graphics proved difficult lol. I forgot what actual game chip it is running but I will crack it open and let everyone know what it is in case your interested.

If you follow Ricks FAQs (link off the home page) you can display the chip numbers in your winner paid window without pulling any boards etc.

Paytable 34A Joker's Wild/5 Bar theme.  There are 2 joker's wild theme.  Your's has Paytable 34A uses Tournament chip ST0034.  If you take it out of tournament mode, it will play as a regular machine, but since you have no way of introducing credits it won't play, other than doing the free play hack.
