Yeah as I've said there is no "open door" this is a sit down machine.  I can "flip up" the table but the test button doesn't do anything from this view as the LED screen is inactive.  I did go to the 7 with the key and used spin reels to increase the hopper number (I think that is what I was doing I was guessing based on what I read).  Didn't know i needed to press max bet to save it.  I'll try that.

You were right it's a pain in the ass to hold it up while on the test button.  But now the hopper pays on a win so I don't need to reset it.  Now how do I turn off the bell for wins only on say a big jackpot win?  You are the man by the way.

I usually just pull the connectors apart for the bell...should be a connector housing a few inches from the bell end.

I don't know right now if there's any setting for the bell to ring on jackpots only.

On the motherboard, or backplane board where the MPU pushes down into, there's a small black 2-pin connector with the letter/numbers [J11] on the circuit board next to it.

You gently squeeze the latch on the connector plug and pull up...it will come off....no more loud bell.

So I unplugged the bell and got an error code.  Now the reels are slowly spinning and the display is showing 3100.  I plugged the bell back in, turned it off turned it on, hit the test switch flipped the jackpot key pressed buttons.  Nothing does anything now which is a bummer.  Any ideas?

Error code 3100 means extra coin out. Nothing to do with the bell.

Press the white test button once close the door, that should clear.
If it doesn't Perhaps your hopper is not seated right.

It also sounds like you have a reel tilt --- slow moving wheels, perhaps you touched one of the reels when it was running.
Once you get past the 3100, you will get a error 41 or 42 or 43... 123 corresponds to the wheel.
Again press the white test button, close the door and that should clear.

There is a setting that rings the bell on all wins, or hand pays (jackpots) only, there is No off other than pulling the wires.
Use the white button to go to 2-6 and then Spin button to select, followed by the jackpot reset key to change it to a 0 or 1 followed by the spin button to lock it in, and then press the white button again to go to the next section, close the door and play.

So extra coin out what does that mean?  Did the step the button doesn't do anything nothing moves or changes.  If I turn it off and turn it back on it dings once then goes right into the error.  Strange.

Yeah can't clear the 3100, the hopper doesn't move.  I honestly don't even see how I could get it out it's pretty bolted in.  I can remove the coin comparator easy enough that just lifts out.  So I've pressed every button turned off the power back on unplugged plugged door open closed pressed all buttons in every possible combination.  The same state reels just move slowly, change button flashes, shows me 1 coin and 3100 in the payout window flashing.  On the candle both lights flash.

No I don't think so theres a huge metal bar there, a metal  plate,  then an armrest.  Might be able to lift it straight but out it doesn't really move.  Not even sure how the bucket piece is supposed to come out.

Pretty much all the front panels come off. And the hopper slides out with the coin elevator I think. Its been over 12 years since I had a slant top but even I, not having any knowledge was able to restore 2 of them. Fiddle around a little bit.

First pic is of one of the machines restored next to an unrestored machine. All my electronics worked but I pretty much had to disassemble everything when I sanded/painted.  Just took my time.

And the shot of Crown was my celebratory drink after finishing the first one..... :applause:

Ok cleared the 3200 error I think when I was messing with the hopper it was to far forward.  I still dont see how the actual thing comes out though everything just looks bolted screwed and overall stuff in there.  I see the tracks where it looks like it should slide forward but I don't see any way to move the aluminum plate on the front hahaha.  Also I went through the bible and setting 6 I just can't change setting 7 is to set the hand pay amount for 1st and 2nd coins.  Setting 9 I changed from 0 to 1 and I think that was to change from paying out to keeping credits.  As now it doesn't automatically pay it holds the credits until you cash out.

There is a release lever, be careful it will fall on your feet when it comes loose.

It is a round knurled knob in center, pull it up real hard and the panel will fall out.
