I want to change games IGT S+

Hello,
Now that I have my machine almost fully working (handle works but doesnt click/ratchet) I would like to change the game to something with a nudge/spin till you win type feature. I tried to post in the classifieds but couldnt. If it were reasonably possible I would look into buying another machine but with shipping to Kona, Hawaii the cost is way over my limit. I probably have the only IGT S+ machine on the island of Hawaii, the one I bought is the first real slot machine that I have seen for sale in the 12 years I have lived here so buying another machine local is not an option either.


I am looking for as mentioned a "bonus" type feature game preferably a nautical themed one. Am looking for all the glass, reel strips and game/reel chips. Kind of just putting feelers out to see what is out there and what is available and is it in my price range.


I currently have the Wild Cherry game with the SP731 and 3711 chips. I have attached a pic of my machine.

Since you have an S plus machine, you can install almost any kit you want. You should review the entire list of games available, per the game bible, then decide what game you prefer. There are so many different features available, all the deluxe games will nudge, Double wild and triple dollars, have mystery reel action, like Phantom of the Opera,  Forth of July has combined features, spin til you win and nudge feature, so take some time and find the game you think would be something you would like. I guess your ideal game would be Coral Reef,  finding the glass would be challenging, but not impossible?

There are a number of underground casinos in Oahu, I think you would be surprised by the number of S+'s there.
That doesn't mean that there is a ready market for game kits.


One option you have is to get the reel strips and chips - light, small, cheap to ship and have the glass produced locally. Even the strips can be produced locally.
Most sign shops and especially commercial door companies - those who do what appears to be etching on storefront glass and doors can print Mylar film and apply it to a sheet of glass.
Your probably looking at $60 - $80 if you bring in your own art work.  Those who do this often use a generic Belly glass so they are not spending lots of money on making belly glass too.
Your stuck with using the pay table provided by IGT on the Reel Chip but you can design whatever artwork you want so if Nautical is what your after you can create anything from Gilligans Island to McHale's Navy.
I may just have dated myself.


You could also get two thin pieces of glass or plexy and print your own artwork and sandwich them between the two plates of glass. You don't want to have paper next to the florescent tube as your creating a fire hazard but two pieces of glass gives you a solid insulation. I have found that back lighting standard paper looks nicer than thicker printer paper. Again if you can get a printer to do it on Vellum that would be best.


Flights from the continental 48 are not expensive, you might be able to cut a deal and buy 2 or 3 kits and offer up 50% of a flight in leiu of shipping ..... and of course a free can of Macadamia nuts.... (also available at the ABC store in Vegas).

Jim - Thanks so much! You're right I need to look at the games more. I do want the most bonus features as possible so.....4th of July sounds interesting. Gonna see if I can find a video online of it in action.


Jay - Yes, Oahu and even Maui has some gambling, right inside strip malls. Every year or so one gets raided and makes the news. On the Island of Hawaii not so much, although Im sure Hilo has a couple.....
Its pretty much country where I live, still kinda small town and not many options available. Such as glass/graphics companies. We dont even have an Arbys or Wendys!!!


Thanks everyone for the responses and suggestions so far. I am going to change it just need to research it more out so I know what I want. Whatever it is I get I prefer to get all the pieces as a kit from one supplier/vendor. And have that support to guide me through any issues I may encounter changing it over.

Ok, after searching a bit this is what I got.


My first choices would be the 4th of July, Tidal Wave or Coral Reef games.


Looking at the Volcano game as well.


Just trying to make the game as much fun as possible.
