Troubleshooting MPU Error Code 3100

Wild Cherry S+.  Installed MPU and get error code 3100.  Pressing the test button does nothing.  Replaced the MPU with another board and machine works fine, so am confident the problem with the 3100 code is on the MPU.  Any technical people can advise what to check/replace on board for this?

Check out the connections of the orange harness going to coin in optics. Wiggling it around a bit sometimes clears the 21.
