Need help with S+ wiring harness connector and door optic issue.

Been trying to get my S+ back working. Had an reel 43 issue, had to send MPU and back board to K-Lar for repair. Now trying to get it all back together and I have two issues...I have this plug from the lower MPU connector that I can't seem to remember where and if it plugs up to. Also, I can't get the door optic to work. I replaced the door optics during the initial test before I sent the boards off. Now in test mode, I can't get the emitter to work. I can shine a light into the cabinet receiver and get 13_1, I tried to use my cell phone to see if I got any infrared light from the emitter, I do not see any. How else can I test the emitter? I am hoping someone will help with this harness connector and that will be part of the solution. Thanks!

Looked at my S+ and looks like that connector is not used. Mine is up in the harness a bit going to the front panel. Looks like the door optics are from another problem.

Correct, that connector is not used.

I just ran into that problem with a S+.

Connector J10 (see attached drawing) was the problem.

The leftmost pin on the connector had bent to the left just enough that it missed the plug and was not being connected.

That pin also has the door pulse signal on it.

Solution to this was...checked continuity in the door optic transmitter wires...good 0 omhs, checked dc voltage at connector- this is the tricky part, with probes in connector I had voltage, plugged optics back in, still would not work. Problem was the connector female connectors on MPU were slightly wallowed out. It would make connector with the pressure of the probes in them, when no pressure was applied, the connection was 5.0 to 6.0 volts. It also passed the "wiggle" test. So I crimped the female connector in on the MPU pass through, now have 5.65 steady volts and door optics now work. Last issue is I have no power to handle release solenoid. I have zero power through connectors all the way to motherboard connector J10. The input test works for the spin button (it should also energize solenoid) but zero voltage . Not sure how to proceed. MPU and Motherboard just serviced by KLAR.

The spin button is in series with the handle switch.
When you play a game do you hear the "CLUNK" of the handle release solenoid each time a reel stops?

No power at any time, so no noise with coin accepted .

Yes, spin and correct working with spin button. Replaced motherboard with spare and now have power to handle solenoid. It was the motherboard. I hope to send it back to KLAR for investigation.
