IGT S with no display. 5 Line Double Diamond

I put a clear chip in and cleared it. Put the game chip back in and got the 61 error. Pressed the white button and got a 65-1. I was able to clear it by hitting the button again or turning the JP key once (not sure which did it). Closed door and reels spun. Ready for play. No errors now. Plays well.

Only issues now: No reel spin sound. I checked, the dip switch is ON. I turned the volume knob up and down (no joy). I checked the speaker wires are connected at the speaker and the plug from the door. I do get the reel stop sound from the handle solenoid. I tried the sound dip switch in the on and off position. I wonder if its a board or speak issues???

Is there a way to isolate a no reel sound issue?

Is the reel stop sound coming from the speaker cone itself or the actual mechanical solenoid clicking on top of the handle mech?

You can test the sounds in the options...there's a copy of the S+ options as a sticky on NLG's home page or I think in the link  I've pasted here...>>>

the reel stop is coming from the handle solenoid. No sound from the speakers. OHMs on speaker is 7.8. I will check settings on self test.

Sound is ON then.  Try applying pressure to volume knob to front and or back while pressing the tiny white coin optic test button to try to get 5 dings. Volume rheostat is probably bad.  Try swapping with another MPU if you have one.

If it is a bad MPU, try replacing C43 next to the dip switches.  I have fixed 2 no sound problems due to an open C43.
