DELL PC - OLD SCHOOL - error at bootup

have an old DELL pc that i can't get to boot up - "RESOURCE CONFLICT - PCI NETWORK CONTROLLER - BUS:00, DEVICE:0E, FUNCTION:00
PRESS <Esc> to resume, <Del> to setup
  Esc - just reboots - same error

disable the network controller in setup (if it has a built-in network) or remove the network card and have it reboot and see if it works.

will have my guy try this if he is capable - i am in philippines - my pc used for eproms back in the states - so he is trying to do burning - will see where this leads - THANK YOU

I would try to reseat all of the memory, video and any other add on cards and see if that helps.

I don't mean to in any way to disparage that the fix was indeed the Ram stick, just doesn't make sense to me.  It may very well be a cascading type of issue where one thing happens and leads to other issues.  I'm glad it was able to be resolved.
