Sigma UV1700 Chip Question

Hello All,
I have a Sigma uv1700 The Game of Life. Everything looks great but, looks like its in DEMO mode.  Reset/Menu key is inoperable, as is the test button. I have a reset chip en route. My question, the board has a "DEMO CHIP" installed, will I need to replace this chip with a fully functional version?  I understand mostly everything is on the disc drive, but no clue about the "demo chip". Please see the pictures and thank u in advance for any help.

***Read next post for a new thought***  I'm pretty sure you will need the u52 chip: game of Life #403 .
If I'm wrong, hopefully someone can correct me.

hold that thought, yours says life 2. I don't remember the top wheel on the game of life, so this may be a newer version

Exactly!  There's my confusion. RB is sending me the Clear chip. I appreciate the response!

There is another version of life called "Times of Your Life". this one has the same bonus top it is game number 664.
What is on your cd? can you post a pic?

I've had several UV1700 games and I have never seen a chip that says demo on it. I do know both versions of LIFE will run without the topper on it. I have most of the files for these games. I know there is a specific way to copy the DVD image.

if your cd doesn't have a label, you can open the version file on a pc with the notepad and it will show you the game number.

I will definitely check out the disc when I get home, and post the picture.  Ya, the DEMO chip thing is strange.

HMMMMM, not sure what to think about this,,,,,,,,  A Demo CD.  Is this a concept game?  Ive still yet to find this machine in existence.

Version says 80x24, no game number, CD say 0209170754, not sure what that refers too

I can make or already have a replacement CD (DVD) if needed. I still have two of these machines in storage that I plan to dig out and sell here shortly.
