you have what appears to be a 17" game king/I-game cabinet. you can fool the machine into thinking the door is closed when in reality it is open, you do this by pulling out the plunger on the two cherry switches. this helps you see what the machine is doing when the door should be closed, e.g. the four amber lights come on when the door is closed and bv unit is ready.
when the machine is on, door open, you should see two red LEDS on, they are directly above the 8 switches on the right side of the bv unit, this indicated power to the unit, if you did the stand alone test and it does not work then the unit is bad! that test will determine if the unit is working, doesn't have anything or any interaction with the machine to do this test, only requires power from the machine!
look closely at the switches and the numbering , some people try the test and have the wrong switches flipped.
if you determine your unit is defective, you can send it to sunrise side, he can rework the unit and have it accept bills like it is a new unit.
