Igame 3802 cabinet - 19"
« on: March 27, 2015, 05:00:54 PM »
For those that have had a 3802 and a 3902 igame..

If i buy a 3802 game king, 19" roundtop; can i use my 3902 19" LCD in it; or are the cabinets slightly different ?  I am under the impression the cabinets are the same but would like to double check to be sure. I know the harnesses need to match (19 pin).

Thanks

Yes/No/Maybe....
Yes...some monitors will slide right in and only require the bezel to be changed.
Yes...some door mounted monitors will fit, but require an adaptor.
No/Maybe...some monitors have the connector in the wrong place, some are centered, some are left hand.
Electrically they are interchangable,The touchscreen controllers are interchangable.
I prefer the door mounted LCD's...clean install and makes a ton of room inside the cabinet.

Ok, thanks for the reply.. I was worried more about the depth of the slide-in vs the orientation of the plug.

I'm assuming i can take my 25 pin harness off another 3902 i have extra, and put that in the 3802; like i've done with a 3902 before (it was a 19 pin but i changed the backplane harness and the LCD harness to a 25 pin).

If I remember correctly the monitor chassis are different. I think the 3902 has more of a slant to it than the 3802. Also on some old 3802 MPU boards there is a small 8 pin chip that you may have to change out in order to upgrade to an LCD.
