Ok, to help out. I learned alot from Kirk(of Las Vegas) when he was around. He did alot of programming. I couldn't justify myself in buying a high end programmer.
They cost alot, and I would never use all the functions it can do. So, I went mid-range. Price range between $100.00 to $200.00.
1. The
USB PRO GQ-4X Willem Programmer Light Pack programmer (About $150.00) and is a 40 pin programmer, so if you ever need to program a 42 pin, you'll find
yourself hunting for another programmer. I have this programmer and it works perfect everytime for 40 pins or less.
2. The
TL866A is a Mini-Programmer. Programs 40 Pins Eproms. I have this programmer as well. and when it come to programming Sip Sop etc. I found this
is the best programmer.
3. But my favorite programmer is the
Wellon VP-390.(
http://www.weilei.com/VP-390E.htm ) As we were saying before, I needed to program a 42pin. and my
GQ-X4 wasn't going to work. Had to by another programmer capably of programming a 42pin. It programs just about everything. It is a 48 pin programmer. And I
used it regularly in programming elevator Circuit Board and other things. (I paid $195.00)
If you need a programmer, I recommend getting a 48pin programmer. If you are just programming micro-chips (Bio's) get the
TL866A.
