The photo is of what IGT calls a "Dongle Farm". On all new games (IGT, WMS and now Bally too) you need 2-3 things to load and play a game. Bally and WMS are still single game platforms. IGT AVP Platform can be run as a Multi-game platform. You've all played them at the casinos (see menu picture below).
To load each game onto the machines hard drive, you must have ALL the correct Thumbdrives (Game Loaders and Reel Control Files) and licenses (Dongles). Most video playform games require a Game Loader and a License Dongle. All video/reel platform games require a GT or GS file to tell the processors how the reels are controlled (payouts, lines, etc). If a game has a Progressive in it, you'll need an additional Internal or External progressive controller.
Some IGT Dongles have licenses for 2,3 or 4 games. Some just have a license for just one. You MUST have the Dongle installed in the machine or the game will not play (You'll get a "License" or "Activation" error.
So to conclude the answer to your question; that Dongle Farm shows an IGT AVP (Advanced Video Platform) machine, which has an MLD monitor in it (Multi Layer Display). And has 13 different games installed in it.
