That came out weird. Just search for "clear/set" combo ship for IGT S+?

Also, what didn't show was, why do you like the game? I liked it for the various features it had!

In that video it acts like the connector to motherboard from power source is burnt

If reseating doesn't work, what's the next step? Or should reseating just work and I need to figure it out?!

See reply #8 by Rokgpsman unplug that white connector and look at the back side for burn marks and shine up those pins. That harness can be repaired or replaced. Try reseating mpu like Elvis said too.

Very glad to report I just reseated it and it is now working fine. It's only showing a "12" which I've come to understand is a battery issue.

SO after replacing the battery I'm unsure of where to go from there...? I still am having the issue with the hopper, so would I figure that out/replace the battery and see what happens from there? It sounds like I need to also buy a clear chip too, I hate to sound dumb, but hwere is the "vendor" page where I can find this chip?

Sixcard, how do I go about buying that battery form you?

Also, can anyone confirm that my machine can be opened by anyone? I feel like anyone can open it, am I crazy? Below is a pic... If so, what type of locks do I need to buy to replace the two "keyless entry locks" you see in the pic? Can I possibly get away with just 1 lock and key?

The vender section is on the top of the NLG Home Page. Try contacting Ohio Gaming or Midwest Slot. Either should have both chips. I would replace your battery and see if your hopper problem continues. You might want to check the pins on your edge connector of your MPU to make sure a pin didn’t get bent possible causing that wierd hopper issue.
Please remember to make a donation to NLG for mine/our help in repairing your machines problem.. Your donations help keep this site on line.
And remember...
If it's jammed, force it.. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyways...

Those are a way to close a door. Not sure the name of that style lock. If you go the EBay and type in IGT slot machine door lock you should find a few of options. You will need 2 if you don’t want people to get into your cash box from a bill acceptor if you have a working one in your game.

It sounds like some of your sporadic problems are being caused by not getting the mpu board plugged into the motherboard completely. You don't want to damage anything but be sure you get it fully connected with the motherboard.

Also, just in case,,,,,whenever you install or remove something electrical like the mpu board always have the machine power turned OFF. That seems obvious, but some people get in a hurry or they just don't know not to do that.

I was able to view your video you posted in Reply #35 above so I think everyone else can see it too.

Coral Reef is considered one of the most-wanted S+ machines by many people, partly because of the "nudge" & respin features it has, but also because of its unique and cool graphic design.

Those locks on your machine are called shipping locks or "butterfly" locks (due to their shape), they are just quick-turn fasteners. That's what IGT puts on a machine when they ship it to a casino. Then the casino puts their own locks on the machine. Some people like having these quick-turn locks because they don't have to worry about losing the key, they can get into the machine at any time.

The good news is that the proper cam should already be on those shipping locks. So all you have to do is transfer the cam over to the new lock.

Here's a place to see what door locks and cams look like in general, but they may not have one for the S+ machine:

http://www.spininc.com/locks-cams-igt-bally-aristocrat-williams-novomatic-konami-novomatic

On their website you can click on "IGT" on the left side of the screen to eliminate parts for other brands of machines and reduce how many items are presented to you. Many of our supporting vendors websites have parts with photos also. But even those vendors without a website will know what the correct lock is for your machine. It should be possible to get 2 locks that use the same key.

Thanks again for the info.! One thing I learned from my days in vending was exactly what you said - always turn off the machine when plugging and unplugging things!
that's "reel" interesting to know about Coral Reef, although I was looking to get a nice working machine the same things you mentioned attracted me to this machine and I couldn't help myself! I thought the graphics would look great lighting up my living room, but I'm not sure if I liked the graphics or the features more!

It's always been a favorite of mine. Can you post a photo showing the entire front of the machine, from top to bottom, with power  turned on and it lit up?

I don't worry about locks. Seems like most people lose the keys and then are locked out. I also suggest buying the .984 tokens. They don't accidently disappear like quarters do. In this S+ section you can search Hopper Jam and learn how to turn the hopper by hand. Quite often someone emptied their pocket and a dime or a washer gets in the hopper and jams it. There are pictures showing the BRAKE and how to release it to turn by hand. Rest assured, you have one of the easiest machines made to repair.

Thank Ya Thank Ya Very Much.

Yes I am, I'm in Casa Grande, AZ. I'm also in the market for two locks (keyed the same ideally) and a Set and Clear chip, do you by chance have all of those things? I've got to head to work in about an hour, but would be glad to place the order with you before if you want! (Understandable if you don't want, it being a Sunday and all!)

I have a person that rents a room from me so I definitely need to lock it!

Locks for slot machines are usually the same barrel size, but you have to select the correct length so that the locking cam attached to the end of the lock will engage the machine cabinet properly. Someone familiar with S+ machines can tell you the right size for the lock. Or maybe you can just measure the length of the shipping lock that is on there now.

To install new lock you open the machine door, remove the lock cam from the shipping lock, then remove the mounting nut found on the inside part of the lock to remove the old lock. Then install the new lock and then attach the cam. Pretty easy, probably similar to the vending machines you've worked on.

You can also get metal tokens that are quarter size, install one of the tokens as a sample coin in the coin comparitor and only put tokens in the machine hopper. That greatly reduces theft, the tokens won't do anyone much good anywhere else.

Over to the left side of each message is a little icon that says "private message" Click on it next to one of sixcardmark messages and send him a pm about any parts you want to get from him. That way he will be sure to get it. You can do the same thing for other folks selling parts here.
