Nice machines and great work!
Yes, afaik, the progressive is disabled with door open to keep the tech from adding to the progressive jackpot.
I am not sure if the mechanical meters (coin in coin out and drop) are disabled also...?
Nice work y'all.

Usually the coin in, out and coins into the cash box are controlled by the small button switch located at the bottom right of the cabinet under or to the bottom side of the chute that takes the coins to their final resting place. At least until they collect the coins. This contact is made by the door closing on it or holding it in with your finger while you add a coin, spin reels ect... ect.

Yes, you are correct.  The door interlock switch opens 50V (70 wire) from the meters via a brown/yellow, or 93 wire.
I think that is its only function.

Dave,

I had the chance to meet "Oldreno/DonnerParty" today. My husband already knew him, but it was my first time meeting with him. All I can say, is WOW! One very cool, more than interesting (more like intriguing), genius individual. Look forward to chatting with him more in the future!

Roz, it was nice to meet you, too, and thanks for the kind words.
I will say one thing however to the readers here --
The only advantage I have on most of you is that I have been working on these wonderful e/m's longer than you in most cases.
Don't mean I'm smarter, just I have had more time on them.
Most everything you will need to know you can find in the free downloadable bally manual.
It has parts views, parts names and descriptions, switch functions, and most importantly, there are some rudimentary schematics in there.
The little secret here is that MOST of the functions of most of the different models are identical, and even oftimes the wire colors are the same.
Also, I taught how to fix these things when working at gaming schools here in Reno decades ago, and was asked a lot of questions by students that I had to find the answers to in order to pretend to be legitimate.
The bally manual is about the best source of info that I know of.
The second best source is the masters who frequent this board, like OpBell, and some others.
Thanks.
