IGT S3000 Diagnostic not Recognized by Machine
« on: April 01, 2024, 01:15:27 PM »
I've got a Customer's S3000 in for repair (Reel Backlighting and Divider Lights inop) and can not get any Diagnostic to work on the machine.

Thr first one I tried was a 124, and it wouldn't even Authenticate it, and the second one, a 113, Authenticates, but then gives this error.

OS hash doesn't match with the one stored in the certificate file. Failure authenticating diagunv00113. System halted.

Does anyone have any idea what this means and how to get past it?

Thanks,

Curtis ash100

My S3000 Pinball uses DIAGUNV00122. I'm not an expert on this, however, but this is what works for me. It may not work in your case, so you've been warned.

Thanks,

You're the second person that says they're using the 122, so maybe that's the one that works on S3000 Pinball games. Strange, but worth a shot.

I'll seek one out.

Good luck on the divider lights and reel lights.  I have had several S3000s and some are plagued with that problem.  I had to replace the reel ribbon cable on one and a reel on another.  If you find a fix please let me know.

Update,

I borrowed a 122 Diagnostic Drive and it got me in, finally. So, there must be something written in the S3000 Software or OS files to make them compatible with that Diagnostic, but maybe not others?? Anyway. I'm in.

As far as the lighting goes, it's pretty messed up. I might just close this thread and start a new one about the Reel Lights.

Thanks for the inputs!!
