IGT S and S-plus Reel Games / Re: IGT 25¢ coin heads

David Walz,

Attached is a photo of the proper 25¢ coin head.  The ones with spikes are guides to align the top door and coin mech on slant top machines.  The dollars coin head enters on the left side as the coin comparitors are installed in a reverse position.

IGT S2000 and Vision Games / Re: Igt Game Identification

Hello Lespaul6:
You said the game kind of comes on. Does it display any numbers or letters in the LED readouts?
I don't want to over-simplify this because I'm not an S+ expert, but if the machine has been sitting a long time the backup battery is likely dead. I believe those require a good voltage reading on the battery in order to boot.

Tilt, is S+ battery code 81 or something like that? Strike that, I think it's code 12.

Chris

Thanks, can you point out what components are involved ?

More confusion.

The one on my IGT is 1$ and I need to change it to 25¢, however it doesn't have the two spikes on the bottom.

25¢ Coin heads....
What a can of worms. I am trying to figure out what is the correct one for a S-Plus. Some have spikes on the back side, some are low on the top, Some are in different positions for the coin to drop left, right, center..

I was looking for these strips a few weeks ago, I ended up finding some. I think the user MazzMayhem has some backlit strips.

Good day!

Curious on how I can update a couple Canadian bill validators.
Three different machines
S+
S2000
and Bally S6000

1 x WBA-21-SS
2 x WBA-23-SS (One labeled 4 MEG on chip, other 1 MEG)

They were all flashed 10 years ago i believe, Friend of mine had me get these machine up and running but the bill acceptors will only accept older paper money vs the new fancy plastic.

Best way to go about this? Send them out to someone? Buy new Chips?

Although I am familiar with the main machines, I never got involved with bill acceptors, machines I bought came with USD ones i just removed them. Used free play..

Located in Ontario..

Thanks in advance.. I can head back out to machine to acquire more information if needed..

Steve

U79 is not needed for door circuits. You have a missing signal called Interrogate. All door circuits  have this signal in common. Your board will need to be repaired, or replaced.

hi,

so I decided after a couple of weeks to have another look at the machine.

It seems that im missing 4,5 V on the door optic. No broken cable but no output on J19 Pins 3 and 4.

Could this have something todo with U79 that I have removed for example that U79 is still mandatory ?

Hope you can help a little bit so I get this one running.

Thanks
