Machine was playing Friday. This morning got C Ram Low Battery so changed both batteries. Now attempting to frre block in database. Fatal fault. Turning attendant key to reboot does the same thing. Here is the screen. Here is you tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oqxni70QVms

I remember having to clear and set up the Alpha all over again after a battery change. Argh!

I remember that the 6000's were a pain. Is this worse? Anyone know the procedure?

You need to clear the machine and set it back up. Remove OS and games cards, install clear card in OS slot. Power machine up, turn jackpot reset key when promted, when done turn machine off and reinstall OS and game cards and reboot.

Are you running a 512 or a 1GH CPU in that machine?
If your using the 512 you should be good but you will need a AVOCLEAR0320-XX clear SD card

That BIOS he is using will not work on a 1 gig CPU, so it has to be 512meg

Idesign, I just don't know. I assume the 512. coors says I need a 320. I remember setting up my 6000 and it seemed to take forever and very confusing. Can I expect the same with the 9000? The card say's 512 OS

If all you need is a clear card for what you already have, just get a 320. It's the correct card for your bios and OS.

Is there something better. This machine takes about 15 minutes to boot up normally. Turn it on go cut the grass go to the grocery store then it is ready.

If you want it to boot faster you need to upgrade the CPU to a 1 or 2 gig model. It will be faster but still is a slow process.

Upgrade your MPU to 1 GIG. I did on my Alpha M9000 the old games boot up in 2-3 minutes. For an added bonus, you can play newer Alpha 1 titles. Its worth the added money. I want to upgrade my S9E and Cinevision soon just because of the boot time.

What is involved in upgrading to 1 gig? A new MPU or changing something on my existing one?

Just the MPU is all you need. Some don't come with a BIOS (depending on where or who you get it from). The one I have has a 16meg BIOS chip which is longer than the normal ones. Just swap MPUs and you're set to go.

The newer slot titles take forever to load, even on a 1Ghz cpu with 2GB of ram. I just converted a 3 to 5 reel peacock plenty for my mom and installed a 1Ghz cpu with 2 GB of ram and the ting takes about 7 minutes to boot up. Yes going from 256/512 (which uses a 400Mhz Celeron processor) to a 1GB/2GB (which uses a 1Ghz Celeron processor) makes it shorter, but don't expect S2000 boot times under a minute. It's just like booting a bluebird, both of these platform are based on Linux so between loading the OS and all the game assets, well go cut your lawn and have a cup of coffee, or better yet, catch up on Game of Thrones.

This thing is hateful to set up. I have had to clear 3 times because of doing something wrong. It doesn't let you go back. I will have to clear again tomorrow as I must have a printer problem. It keeps saying remove voucher. The whole time I have had this machine when I cashed out I just turned the key after pushing button. Very easy not having to deal with tickets. I guess I will tell machine it has no printer. The long boot time makes it that much more difficult.

3 more tries and finally got it. Set printer to off. Press print ticket then just turn key and credits go away. No ticket paper to fool with. Thanks to everyone.
