I have an IGT Game King 6.2, lcd screen installed. The ticket printer when I first got the machine worked but it printed faint, so I opened the printer and cleaned the inside and it worked great.

I don't really use the printer often, but when I tried for the first time in a few months yesterday, I got a printer error saying "wrong paper or sensor" - the paper I know is good cause it's the same paper that printed previous tickets flawlessly. I even tried another stack.

After I cleaned it like 4 times and kept feeding paper through, I FINALLY got it to print a ticket. At one time, it even printed 2 without issue and I thought it was fixed.

Then I tried again after about 5-10 min. and got the error again.

I have pics below, any suggestions on what the issue could be would be great. I'm wondering if the printer is just old?

edit:  Today (the next day) I played it, and it printed all tickets perfectly, and they were nice and clean too, no missing spots from the thermal.

This is very strange. I rebooted the machine when I was tinkering with it yesterday and it did nothing.

ANOTHER EDIT:
A few days later I got the same error again. Rebooted the machine and it worked fine rest of the day. It really seems to be doing it randomly. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this?

I'm not really shore but I know that I have replaced several seico printers with that type of blue lever because they did not grip the paper good enough. Usually the lever was actually sloppy and you could jiggle it side to side. But like I said I never actually tried to fix the printers other than cleaning them out. You could check to make shore the speaker wires aren't interfering with the paper feed and just take it apart as far as you can clean it up and put it back together. If that doesn't help I would probably just get another printer (preferably a gen 2).

That one is a serial printer,  won't work.  You need a netplex printer PSA-66-ST2N .

Thanks. Do you know if it should fit in replacement of the other one, or will I have to buy a new track or whatever for it to slide + snap into?

The bracket from the one you have should work.  The printer is held to the bracket by 4 screws that are in the same place on both models.
