Coin return 1114 $1

I have a Bally 1114 and I need to figure out the coin return assembly, how it works. Anyone who has a coin scavenger assembly, please post some photos for me, thanks

it looks like the $1 mech installs so you are looking at the back of the mech.

the red coin return button operates the microswitch you can almost see in the top/left of your picture with the 30 and 31-1 wires on it (hence my constant nagging to take hi-res pics showing the entire assembly and people can zoom in on the part they care about :-))

when you push down the red coin return button, microswitch closes and powers the scavenger solenoid which does whatever it does to a dollar mech.  I haven't seen a dollar mech in a long time, so don't remember.  It's not the same as a 5-10-25c mech wrt how the reject mechanism works.

Well, that explains everything, the micro switch is functioning, I tested it without power, while doing a exam of the wiring harness. This is so cool, having a $1.00 1114 that's not molested, butchered, everything is still in place. The coin micro switches are for the $1.00, payout, looking good.

what manual/page did you get that parts diagram from?

the 7200 manual page 10 I have looks like what you have in your machine.

page 12 has the parts for 5c-50c games with the coin lockout coil instead of the scavenger solenoid.

looks like they changed it.  The 1114 is a 1976+ machine.

I think everything is accounted for inside of the coin assembly, the scavenger assembly. After cleaning, repairing, adjusting, replacing, then I worked on the full travel of a coin from when you drop a coin outside the machine, to it going into the hopper or the cash box. It's working 100%. 
The scavenger coil, micro switches, diverter coil all are at 100%.

I've probably put in several hours of work just on this part of the slot machine, I also had to re-weld a broken part where the welds are hidden from view.

I meant bally changed the design ... the parts breakdown from a 1973 manual isn't right for a machine made in/after 1976.

the 2400 and 2600 manuals have changes from earlier manuals as bally updated the parts, and likewise some later manuals may obsolete the 2400/2600 manuals. 

the 5000 manual covering dollar slots has 1977 on it, but it doesn't detail the scavenger parts.

'course, the same model machine was produced for many years, so individual units may have left the factory with different parts.  Occasionally bally made the updated parts available as retrofit kits.

And then you have someone who starts changing everything, creating a mess that you have to sift through. I can honestly say that I have little experience in the Bally slot machines, however I know what is out of place, missing, etc.
