Error Code 65 - 1
« on: January 07, 2015, 12:44:40 PM »
Hello dear NLG community,

I have following problem.
I hope it´s the right forum. I don't know if it´s a S2000, the model number is 96400300

Error code 65 - 1 "bad eeprom data"

I put all replaceable eeproms and battery off and on the motherboard again.
Then 61 and then 61-1 is shown.
after pressing the self test button, it beeps, and the 65 - 1 illuminates.
if I press the self test button again, it goes off, but comes back again.
If I switch the golden key I am in the setup mode?
it shows me 0000-0000-1 and the reel spin button.

So guys I hope you can help me?

Thank you very much

Marcus

igt instructions say to press test button for 2 seconds when you get the 65-1.
Have tou tried to do a ramclear?  When all else fails that's the best thing to do.

Well first of all. 61, 61-1, 65-1 are S+ codes. When you get the 61 code hold the test button for 2-3 seconds.
when it goes to 61-1 close the door latch it and turn the jackpot key one time. That should reset the machine. Good luck.

Maybe the moderator can move this to S and Splus reel games.

you'll need a ramclear chip, do you have one?
I'm not positive that performing a ramclear will correct your problem.

where do I get them?

Well it started after I had a loose connectioncable which allways disconnected the motherboard. the 65-1 illuminated after the cable striked again while I was playing. I think that any chip wasn´t written correctly because of this. If I can fix this problem with a clearchip, so why not :)

Do you mean the cable arced (flashed) while you were playing the game?
Did it come loose from the mother board and make a spark?

no just a loose cable or plug connection. no Arching.
this plug didn´t contact correctly and sometimes the motherboard ( the game ) went off and the Reels deenergised. I fixed the plug and the pins, but then there already were the 65-1.

Okay. The mother board or back plane is the board on the bottom that your mpu ( the removable) board plugs into. You were losing power while playing. And corrected that but already had the 65-1 error correct? It was a bad power connection coming in right?

Hi again Marcus. If you want to get a clear chip put it on NLG classifieds WTB clear chip for IGT S+ machine. You should get some replies there. A lot of the people will send you a sheet along with it to tell you how to run the clear. Hope this gets you going and welcome to NLG.

Hello guys,

The Seller of my Slotmachine sent me his last two clear chips, but he don´t really tell me how to clear and setup the machine again.

On both chip he wrote "S2000" on it

On one chip stands IGT IVC00224"
On the other "Stepper Base IVC00224 6C79 CS=68DD @ IGT INT " and " do not copy"

well I never really knew what kind it is, maybe it´s an S2000?

65-1 is an S+ error code, not an S2000 error code.

An S+ machine has all red LED displays below (or next to, on really old ones) the reels.

An S2000 machine will have some red LED displays, but also a blue VFD (vacuum fluorescent display) below the reels, on the left side of the glass.

You can contact CVSLOTS, COORSLIGHT, ERBS or many other suppliers on this site. Just go to the home page and you will find vendors. All reputable if on here. You will need a clear and set chip set for "S+" and instructions. Good Luck
