3300 error
« on: February 08, 2015, 10:45:41 AM »
While cleaning my s+ I hit the cashout button and about 5 or 6 coins drop into the tray, there was 50 credits on it and I got a 3300 error code, tried opening and closing the door a few times but still get 3300, could it be that I just don't have enough coins in the hopper? and if I add more coins will that clear the error code?   Thanks All

If you open and close the door and the hopper tries to run but doesn't spit any coins out, then the hopper could be low or you may have a worn shelf wheel or agitator inside the hopper. How full is it?

Probably less than 25% full.

43 is a reel 3 tilt.  3300 is a hopper empty error.  Both of these errors and their resolutions are listed on this page:

http://www.newlifegames.net/igterrors/

The "6" alternating with the 43 is indicating that 6 coins were paid out, as you mentioned in your first post.

I'd agitate the coins by hand and then see if any more get paid out.  Right now your machine is stuck until it finishes the payout.  As cowboygames suggested, check the hopper agitator and the shelf wheel to see if they're worn out.

The 43 error could be caused by something rubbing on the third reel as it tries to spin, or if you bumped it when you had the door open.  Close the door all the way.  The displays should go blank for a second, and then the machine should try paying out the remaining coins again.  If the displays do not go blank for a second after you fully close and latch the door, the machine is not detecting that the door is closed.  Check the bill validator stacker (cash can) door to ensure it is closed and latched, and make sure the main door closes and the latch is all the way down.  If it still isn't working, your door optics may have gone bad.  Check for broken wires near the optics.

Again thanks to all. so this is what I did. while I was still getting the 43/6 error code for the heck of it I put a quarter in pressed the spin button and it played then my 50 credits displayed it did not try and pay the rest of the credits but this thing is working again, so tomorrow im going to pull the hopper and see if I can see anything wrong with it even though I really don't know what im doing and I will add a lot more coins to it. just afraid of getting that 3300 code again. we only use the cashout button for the grandkids they get a kick out of watching the coins drop, Again thanks to all!
