Ghost in the Machine or....?
« on: April 17, 2024, 09:33:10 AM »
Hello all,

I am at a loss. I have run out of options with my friends BV. It has been flashed. It has worked. But after a battery change from sitting for a few months, it stopped working even though the machine takes coins just fine. As a final attempt i did a clear and BV enable chip. It cycles upon power up. Sometimes the bezel lights up takes the bill then spits it out. Sometimes the bezel wont light up. The cash box door switch has been bypassed.

Any things to check? Where do i go from here?
How about throwing me some positive KARMA love by clicking on the left!

So I, only know basic stuff, but have you tried just like opening the top of the bv/sliding it in and out (resetting it) ? Whenever they won’t take bills it always does the trick for me

Try that last reply first!

If the problem still exists, inspect the connection from the BV to the power supply. Power off, disconnect the plug to the BV's power supply which will be mounted against the cash can housing. Inspect that plug, Also check the two small plugs connected directly into the BV on the left. Sometimes those small wires break but still appear to be connected.
