Power supplies

 Power supply question.  A while back I was having issues with a Barcrest/ Igt Top Dollar. As it turns out It is a bad power supply. It was suggested that I replace it with the more readily available Barcrest mpu5 (sps045w ) power supply . it was also suggested to look to the Uk for the part.
I did find this part in the UK.  BUT IT MADE ME THINK....  We have different power standards  and wall plugins and things like that. So even though the model number is the same,  couldn’t  it still be different based on what country it is being used in?

Absolutely, you'll need to find out if it's switchable from 220 to 110. And if it can be used on an MPU4. I'd never heard of them be interchangeable, but that doesn't mean they aren't, just that it's in your best interest to confirm it
