Universal Reel/Video Games / Re: Replacement NIMH BATTERY?
« Last post by 61Wally on Today at 05:33:10 AM »
OK I will try and find the schematic for this. I took the power supply out and when I opened it I didn’t see any noise filter. In that area it looks like something was in there once upon a time. Unless this is a totally different type of power supply? ( Couple pics of it ).

I looked at the main door switches this morning.   Only one is connected.   Can you confirm if this is correct and the wiring is connected properly?

Other Reel Games / Re: Hopper Agitator
« Last post by slcjeeper on Today at 04:20:54 AM »
Lance,

It’s not too common to find machines that accept different coin types. This is more common on European machines, but since mechanically the hopper can only process one physically sized coin, the other is sent directly to the drop. This is more commonly found on the play nickels or quarters for Ikes machines. Coins played go straight to the drop and the hopper only holds Ikes for payouts.

Regarding the handle mechanism, if it can be pulled at anytime, including when the machine is not powered, I would suspect the  handle mechanism may have had a pawl removed, or it may be stuck or missing a spring. Can you share a picture of the handle mechanism showing the front edge as well as the side facing the reel mechanism?

You can borrow one from a game king or s2000. (non-usb)  That's what I'm using in my G23.

After lots of frustration, I got the printer out and now I'm thinking my issue is probably firmware as no one seems to know the firmware version this printer is on. I didn't realize there is a bracket with a screw in the front that needs removing. However, you have to pop the button self down to access it.

Does anyone have a Gen2 they'd be interested in loaning me to test it out? Or can I send my printer to anyone who can upgrade the firmware? I don't have the energy to figure that part of it out myself.

Gen2 Universal. As it is USB I'm assuming, GUU001A508
