help ,gamemaker 7000 coin go to hopper no credit,

bought an old game maker 7000 model was not working did clear and debug, had it working and giving credits, next day it was working but would not give credits,need help, tried every thing ,clear chip,debug chip 10 times, coin compactor cc62 takes nickels every-time ,goes right in to hopper,but will not give me a credit for the nickel,wires all look great, may be my set up is wrong , setups i choose,jurisdiction  #1,  coin only, coin pay or attendant, mechanical, ,im thinking its the coin comparator, but don't know where to check , it does not eject the coins that works good, just wont give credits,any help would be greatly appreciated.

just tried machine now in its working taking nickels and giving credits, dont know what i did other then let it sleep all night,

When I got my Game Maker, the bottom wire on the comparitor connector was loose. When it would lose contact, it would accept coins but would not credit. I finally removed the metal shroud over the COD board, removed the wiring harness and fixed the loose wire. That did the trick.


You said that the wiring looks good, but you might want to double-check. The problem seems to be intermittent, which to me sounds like something’s loose.

thx ,next day it started to take coins, has been good ever since ,v7000 model 14 inch monitor, no cod board, my other problem now is bill valitator comes up disabled, red light is on , does not show up on bill acceptor as being recognized,i chose the jcm dvb ,its a dvb 200 44/45 sh ,spend hours searching the net how to fix ,can not get it to take bills,it does not cycle when machine starts up,its a nickle machine,so i just keep adding 200 nickels and play, the guy had buy passed the cash can in cut wires, so i even got a cash can in hooked all  the wires back up,still would not work, doors to not show that they are open on the screen ,other then that not taking bills works good, pain adding 200 nickles to play in stead of a $20 u.s bill,thx any help would be greatly appreciated,

Well, I'm glad that you got the issue solved with the coin comparitor.


Have you tried the bill acceptor test?


If it doesn't cycle when you turn it on. are you sure that it's getting power? You mentioned the red light is on. Is that the internal lights that are part of the scanner optics?

thx, i did try the test ,the bill valitator would spin non stop in reverse, and not shut down, so i stopped it and put the toggles all to off.
