Bally Gamemaker coin up

I just did a ram clear on my bally gamemaker because the battery went dead , now it will not accept coins, I never used the bill accepter as it is no good and played it for years with just coins, could I have made a mistake somehow? How do I repair this? Thanks to any body that can help

I haven't done this in years since I sold all my Game Makers but here's the detailed procedure from our site. Did you follow all these steps?

USE GAME CHANGE PROCEDURE FIRST, IF MACHINE DOES NOT
RECOGNIZE GAME IN P10, USE THIS PROCEDURE!!!!!!!!!!

BALLY GAMEMAKER TOTAL CLEAR PROCEDURE
Step 1:
Pull the board
Install Clear Chip in P10
Turn 7 & 8 to ON for DPSW1
Pull any games you want to replace
Install the New Games
Install the board
Power up
Wait for message
Wait for the EPROM & Saferam Erase to complete
Depending on your Mains, you may have to recycle power at this time
Go through Configuration of EPROM & Saferam Turn Audit Switch to lock in each selection Power down
Step 2:
Pull the board
Pull Clear Chip in P10
Replace with desired game chip
Set 7 & 8 to OFF for DIP switch SW1
Install the board
Power up
Wait for message
Follow any forced onscreen setup instructions on first powerup Depending on your Mains, this may or may not include:
Setting up the Currency symbol and Country Options (multi-denomination Main) Setting up the machine’s Coin Value (or base denomination in multi-denom Mains)
This step could include selecting tokenization, if the Mains support it.
Selecting the denominations that will be available for all games (multi-denom Mains) Selecting the denominations that each game will use (multi-denom Mains)
Selecting the max (and min) bet options for games that support this.
Double check the following Configuration menu items:
Play Options (to set speed, double up options, if enabled, & game colors.) Turn On/Off Games (to turn on new games if necessary.)
Hopper/Credit Limits
Cardback Options (if available, to select the card back designs) Tournament (rare. If tournament chips have been installed and will be used)
You should be up and running.
You might get a message saying new game installed, In that case, try installing the clear chip in P10 once more to enable the game will occupy P10. This may not work with all mains, in which case a complete clear would be required to activate the game that resides in P10.
