Game maker settings
« on: June 14, 2019, 04:31:40 PM »
I have two questions.  First I screwed up and set the wrong setting for door switch.  But now I can not fo back and change it. Tried p10 reset several times. I have read I need to erase the u3 chip or get a new one.is that correct. If so where can I purchase it?
Second how or can I turn off hopper payout? Both machines have no hopper but grand kids hit payout and had to do p10 reset to correct. Is there a way?  Thanks so much James

Try doing a clear with DIP switches 6,7, & 8
That should clear the EEPROM also
Set your hopper limit to zero.
See attached for completely eliminating hopper. The second part mentions modifications to the back plane board.

I did the reset with 6 7 and 8 flipped. I may have set the jurisdiction wrong? Someone said flip all 1-8 dips and try?

For home use Jurisdiction is always 1. Only 6,7,&8 on, no others.

Tried it several times. It does not erase the eeprom. It shows all the settings and says turn key. Then goes to turn off and remove p10 chip. Can not access any of the settings.

Either your clear chip is bad or you need to replace the EEPROM with a blank one.  After the clear and setup the replacement EEPROM will contain the settings you want.

Do you know where to get the new chip?  I must be looking for the wrong thing. What should I be searching for?  Thanks for the help.

The EEPROM is a tiny 8 pin chip in a socket near the back left edge of the computer board.
