Hi All,


I'm a newbie. I just purchased a Game King 1 17" LCD 044 machine. I'm fairly certain as to what I bought but I'm looking for an accurate description of all the games installed and anything else I can learn bout this machine. Thanks.

there are many different versions of software for the 044 platform.  without knowing what version your flash board is, we have no way of helping.

It would help if you tell us what Base Chip is installed on your 044  machine. Example: I use Base GKB00036

that is the "Boot" chip, there are no game software on it.  the software is programmed on the flash board itself.

Thanks everyone for your reply and suggestions. The machine works great but I am deathly afraid of opening it up and poking around inside. I need my hand held with this thing and I’m sure it’s a lot more rugged than I think it is but I’m reluctant to touch things.

Ok, here's how you can determine the flash software without poking around in the guts of your machine.  If your flash card was reflashed, but not relabeled it wouldn't be correct anyhow.
 With the game on, turn the jackpot reset key, then touch Accounting, then more, then program version accounting.  At the top will be a Game kit version number GKXXXXX.  Post that number and we'll tell you what software you have on it as well as what games it supports.

Thank you very much for your patience with me. I do have the reset key but even that I’m  afraid of touching. The folks I bought the machine from have been very helpful but I can tell their patience was thin. I’m not a dummy, just very unfamiliar with sophisticated electronics and the fact that the machine cost me $1,500. It works perfectly but it did have to hiccups with the bill validation and the print ticket. Both items were resolved (I hope) but the experience sort of made me gun shy of touching anything. I don’t want to waste your time but I sure could use the help of knowing you folks are available for assistance. Thanks again.

When the machine is on the cooling fans are quite loud although they sound strong and in perfectly good workin order, is this normal ? Thank you.
