To Clean Chip Or Not to Clean Chip????
« on: August 21, 2020, 06:34:32 PM »
Machine worked great (except bill validator, never accepted bills). Got a low battery error and the machine was shut down and put away for about 5 or 6 years. Recently dusted it off and replaced the battery, re-installed the board, followed the instructions.  Got a ding when first powered up, then to the 61 code, then a error code about not reading the data.  Anyway, now when I power up I get error 61, turn the jackpot key I get 3 credits.  If I push the spin button I get 1-05, push again 2-05, then 3-05. Reels spin and stop in the same position each time, coins drop right out. Top candle is slow flash, bottom is fast.
I'am far from an expert, but every thing looks good, all the lights work, door closes tight.  So the question comes down to "Do I use the clean chip or not?"  Any help or ideas would be great, thanks in advance.

Based on what you have posted, you are not following the correct steps to clear the 61 error you are encountering.

Please follow these steps exactly to clear the 61 error: http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=21017.0
