I got a Bally 6000 that came from a friend who wants it working again. First of all I put in a new Battery holder and battery. Had an 88 memory error. Put in clear chips and cleared it. After that the slot went through the process with the reels and all looks ok...no errors. I went through the setup under #11 and afterward I closed it up and all seemed well. I dropped a nickel in it and it went through to the hopper but no credit.
Here is the strange part It has a X-10 X-Mark acceptor in it and its NOT wired to anything. Someone put a bolt in the rack to keep it open. The coin optics are not on and the button to add a credit on the board does nothing. NO lights and no errors showing. I do not see a wiring harness for the X-10 and as you can see in the photos, the plug on the optics board is make shift. Anyone have an idea of what I have here and is there anything I can do to make this work. I have never seen this in any 6000's I have worked on.
Thank you,
Larry
