Aces NO faces?. I have some Aces AND Faces but I've never seen a no faces before, interesting. Friends of mine have some "Draw 6 poker" glass for a 17" choptop (but no software). I looked it up and you get a sixth card on a 3-of-a-kind and full houses. Another odd one and I never heard of it before.
On my newest machine I have "pick-a-pair poker". I've never seen it in a casino that I noticed. You get two cards and then pick from two different stacks of three more cards, with only one face up. It's a 9's or better game and you get 2 to 1 on 9s or better and some pretty high payouts on the rarer hands. The catch is that there is no holding of cards. You pick one stack and your done. Have you played it?
I love all the different video poker variants that are out there.

Yes, I have played pick-a-pair. Also hard to find in casinos. Nice change of pace.

The Pay the Aces is a game, on the PE platform I believe, that pays extra for aces on the draw only if there are no face cards on the draw also. One ace and no faces pays 5, two aces-no faces pays 10, three aces-no faces on the draw pays 250, and four aces - no faces on the draw pays 7500.
The Eureka Casino in Mesquite, NV had one nickle machine but they pulled it. Riverside in Laughlin has a bank of ten machines with a progressive royal in quarters. The Golden Nugget in Laughlin has it in quarters as does the AVI Casino outside of Laughlin.
When you hit the aces on the draw the hopper immediately pays out the win except 4 aces that locks up the machine for handpay. Played it recently at the Golden Nugget. Put in 40 bucks and played for about a hour when my credits ran out. But I had over 40 bucks in quarters from the aces I hit.
Never have hit the four aces on the draw, have hit several three aces with no faces.

I notice it has a decent paytable without the aces bonus. I think I would like that game too, next time I'm in laughlin I'll have to check it out. Here's a photo of another one on my newest machine. It's Deuces Joker Poker. The only video poker I think I have seen with the top prize not being a royal flush. The paytable in red is with 5 credits bet.

To keep this a little more on-topic since I could ramble about video poker endlessly

. Here's a little win that by itself is just OK but I was happy with this one in particular because I'm limited to $3000 coin-in on this machine but have it set for $100,000 or more to get a handpay. Over several days I finally built up enough wins to "rollover" the machine and get to the jackpot music.
