Hello all,
First, I would like to state that I am very new to this hobby. We have only had our 2 S2000 machines for about a week now. I found this board a few days before the machines were delivered and have done a bunch of reading. I felt fairly comfortable in my ability in performing maintenance when I ordered these. Now that I am serious about adding TITO and diving into instructions, manuals, online photos, and exploring my machines to identify exactly what I have to do, I am not so confident.
I ordered my machines from a NLG vendor. They were shopped and the coin in coin out option was selected. That option soon became a PITA, so the hopper limit was lowered so most pays were handpay. Recently we found three more machines that were ordered and will be here in the near future. Once I ordered those machines, I realized that TITO was the way to go and ordered the Bettor TITO Deluxe for all 5.
Tonight, I started reading the install instructions and reading posts where people were having problems installing printers. I have a key chip ordered and was going to wait until that came in to start working on the machines. I have to enable the printers and test them. To get a head start, I decided to verify wiring and make sure everything was plugged in. To my displeasure, I found the power and communication cables just laying in the top of the printer paper tray area. I removed the printer and the reels to get a good look and where the printer wiring harness would be connected and could not locate a good spot. Online posts and pictures show that the printer connects to a netplex power distribution board. As far as I can tell, I do not have that board in the machine. Is it possible that when it was shopped, the harnesses and board were removed due to the coin in coin out option? If so, simply ordering the boards will be easy, but how easy will it be to find the correct wiring harnesses needed?
I took a few photos of my cabinet to try and get verification of what I an thinking. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Larry W.
