IGT S2000 Reel Assembly Motor
« on: February 25, 2016, 11:52:40 PM »
Hello :)

I'm working on building my own slot machine and have purchased an IGT S2000 Reel Assembly (66003200). As it seems, it's a 5 wire unipolar motor.
I was wondering what the original S2000 machine uses to drive this... Does anyone have schematics?
Motor pinout/optical detector cable pinout can also help a lot.

Thanks!

Hello and Welcome to NLG!

There are many documents and drawings in the NLG File System library for the S2000 slot machine, approx 125 documents. Below is a snippet of the reel motor control and the drawing it came from but I'm not sure if it is what you are looking for. There are way too many documents to attach them all to messages here in the forum. I think you can access the library by becoming a contributing member, there are two ways to do this, one-time contribution and monthly. I think the contribution links are on the left-side of the home page but one of the moderators/staff guys can help with that.

Is there a document that lists the BOM/components for this?
Trying to learn more about a few specific transistors/diodes they use there so I could replicate the driver circuit.
Thanks again!

I didn't see one but like I said there are approx 125 S2000 documents, most with several pages each, would be lots to look thru as I am not S2000 proficient. For the kind of research you are going to be doing I'd suggest getting access to this site's file system or see if there is maybe a full service manual somewhere online for the S2000.

Good luck with your project, sounds interesting.

I did find this document, it has the schematic and parts list for the mpu (processor) board, I think this is the board that controls the reel motors, may be what you are asking about. Also a 1 page document showing the reel motor wiring:
