How to calibrate a JCM intelligent style bill acceptor

Out of the blue my Denver Duck machine won't accept any bill other than 1 dollar bills. Is there a way to recalibrate it to work again? All my icons are green across the bezel except for 20, which was the last amount I put in, thank in advance

credit limit issue?  Calibration is usually not the culprit for what you describe.  Most of the times, it's a credit limit issue where the $1 bill is not taking the credits over the credit limit, but a larger bill does.

No sir, that was the first thing I checked, it's set at 100,000, Bill limit is at 3000

dip switches on the validator maybe?  Did it just start happening?

Yes, that's what's so odd. I changed the main battery on the board, the 2032, checked all my settings, especially the limits section. Put in a new 100 bill with the blue stripe, then a 20.00 bill & now it rejects everything except ac1 dollar bill. It has taken in a couple more 20s after several tries, but now it will only accept 1.00 bills

So which jcm validator is this?  On some you can download a diagnostic program from JCM to your pc and plug the validator through USB and see what the deal is.

Back to this issue again, I just brought the machine backbinto my game room. It is flashing a red icon, the 3rd from the left & it will only take 5s & 1s. Any way to disable that part of the bill acceptor that makes it "intelligent" lol!

Ok, now I have disabled the intelligent bezel part & hooked up the standard harness that lights up the bill acceptor entrance, same thing it will only accept 5s & 1s, any ideas?

It is more than likely in the bv that needs flashed.  Try some "old money", Bills and see what happens.  Also, As before mentioned Your settings have to be correct esp. for multi-denom.

Has to be flashed even if it's already worked normally for almost 2 years?

I've double checked the settings, I know they are good, I'm gonna swap the main board out next I guess
