They look to be both Bally 5000 series. They look clean on the outside, glad, chrome.. This model was best known for having power supply issues. Not the most desirable models, but that all depends on prices too.

Thank you for the info. The guy will take 350 for both ,he says/thinks  they both need new batteries....will be for my game room. Do you think its worth the 6 hour drive?

No!
A 6 hour drive and $350 for two machines that
maybe work isn’t a good deal unless your knowledgeable
on the Bally 5000.
Bally S5500 is a much better platform.

I would want more information and pictures of the boards for sure to make dang sure that the old battery’s have not leaked acid damaging the boards. Are machines hard to find in your area? A 6 hr drive seem long. Have the seller power them on and send pics of the displays to see if the do show signs of life and code numbers for low battery’s. Then if you hearts set on them counter offer around $250.. Explain it’s a long drive.

Good idea! Thank you guys.  I'm in between  san francisco and Sacramento, theres alot of machines available but like everything else around they are way over priced.

this is my opinion only!!! unless you are ready to deal with finding parts or clear chips and keypads, find an S+ .

any time the battery goes south, you need a keypad to reprogram the machine (everything resets to default)

certain versions required clear chips, and others did not, some required a certain clear procedure,

Ask BADBAUD (member on NLG)  for his opinion as well, he works on the boards etc.

Dang, i just sold a wild cherry s+ worked great .paid 150 and got offered 600 so i couldn't turn it down lol. I like the older ballys better other then them being difficult for a newbie like me
