Bally V32 Ram Upgrade

I upgraded from 4gb to 8gb ram on my A2.0


Here are my findings:


Wonka boots in 35 minutes vs 58 minutes

With 4gb the machine would lock up after 24 hours or so. 
So far the game hasn’t crashed

I never had the game on for 24 hours straight, I wonder what causes the lockup.  Whenever I've looked at free memory after the game loads, it has always had a good bit of free memory available.

It was a hard crash too


The topper would go black and call attendant on the screen


It would be totally locked - no door alarm or response to key or settings


And this 2.0 mpu only did this with wonka
Icon, Spider-Man and all the others always worked fine.


I just think wonka really wants a 2.1 board but I’m glad it works with 2.0

I've only really tested wonka on 4gb to make sure it ran, but I only play the game for about an hour.  Never thought that the extended time period would be any different.  All my cabinets have 8gb of ram with a mix of 2.1 and 2.0 mpus.
