Hello from Newbie in Texas - Dumb Question
« on: August 07, 2019, 08:21:25 AM »
Good morning y'all.  I have attached as many pictures as I can.

The issue currently, That when I turned the machine on I got a Call Attendant error.  Standard practice is use the reset key, thus problem 1) The cylinder for a reset type key on the door has nothing attached to it, no wires nothing.

I found another Key Cylinder below the power switch on the board with the battery, but none of my keys fit it.

Now, I am assuming, because I have no other options, that battery is no good, so I will order a new one.

ANy suggestions on the reset key?  and which lock is the reset?  if its the door, what should it be wired to?

The Reset is typically on the outside of the chassis. Also known as Jackpot Reset key.
When a large win exceeds the hopper limit the machine goes into hand pay, the slot attendant comes and validates the win and pays out the rest typically by cheque.
If the machine is TITO (Ticket in/out) where coins are not a factor this limit is typically $1199 as any win larger than this requires a US casino to issue a W2G.

The lock you mention appears to hold that MPU board in place to prevent tampering. There is a button that extends out of that tray. That is the self - test button and steps you through various screens and settings.
Some settings require the use of a key chip.
If you can't afford to lose you can't afford to win.

Jay Thank you.  The Jackpot reset on out side should have wires connected?  I do not believe mine is setup for tickets.

The on the MPU tray is wired to the MPU and does not lock the tray.

Yes the external reset key should have wires.
Given that there is a hopper present in your pictures, I presume you have a hopper limit.
In either case a win over 1199 triggers a hand pay and makes the reset key relevant.

Jay, Thank you.  Any recommendation on where to get a wiring diagram for my machine?

On the top of the page do you have a tab called NLG File System.
If so you might try digging around in there.
You could also post a request to the members asking for a particular document.
