UBA Issue

I have a wms bb2 and I have power to my uba but the machine gives me a bill validator com error.  I am quite confident it is something really simple.  The UBA was working when we took it out of another machine but now it wont take bill,  never cycles.  Any help would be great.

Did it come from another RS232 machine or netplex? UBA10/11 or 14/24? UBA 10/11 have jumpers for RS232 or netplex on the CPU board.

Ron,  I did not take it out,  so I am not sure of the settings,  The machine I am putting it into was RS232 and had a MEI.  I have a UBA 10 and UBA 11.  I suspect it is the jumpers on the backplane.

I'm lost on the WMS backplane jumpers. Never owned a WMS at all.
I'm talking about the ones on the UBA CPU board. Be sure they are set to the correct position for RS232 operation.
Obviously the software flash or eprom must also match the protocol.

I think your issue is the jumpers on the backplane. If it had an MEI then you will have to change those for UBA. - I don't have that info handy at the moment but I'm sure someone here will beat me to it.
