SG Chip Compatibility Questions.
« on: January 21, 2020, 04:22:44 PM »
Been trying to figure out if there's some sort of master list out there that will show which SG Chips are most compatible with which Stepper Base Chip.

I read a lot of posts about people needing or wanting to know which chips to buy for their games, and most answers are SG00363's will work. But there's tons more SG's than just the 363's, so what gives?

IGT had to have some idea of what worked best when they were designing and making these games, and had to have published that info somewhere.

I trust the experience on this forum and respect all of the members and believe their suggestions are quite accurate when they reccomend something.

But, I'd still like some clarification, and if anyone has anything that explains the chip relationships better, I would love to see it.

Thank you all,

Curtis ash100

363 and 598 are the go to universal sets for 99% of games. I typically use 363 in all my none enhanced board games but they can cause glitches and booting problems on enhanced boards so i use 598s on those. Games with special features like visions, reel touch, free spins, or tournament games use specific sg chips.
