Help to change denom - my denom is locked on my S2000
« on: March 19, 2020, 06:43:18 AM »
I need help changing denom on my S2000 Triple double five times pay. I have used key37 and key45. Still I can not change denom, it's locked to 0.25. I even used clear chip, but the denom is locked to 0.25. What is limiting so I can not change the denom, could it be the base or game chips?

Erik,

Use IVC00224 & KEY00045 on that enhanced MPU. I strongly suggest ditching the SG000354 & use SG000523 or 598. After clearing with the 224 there's no logical reason you can't change the denom. KEY00037 is made for 3902 I games/GK.
Quality doesn't cost. It pays.

What denomination are you trying to go to.
If you are trying to go less than .25 then a clear chip will be required to change the accounting denomination to less than  .25.
If you are trying to go higher than .25 then a key would be all that you would need.
Are you sure there were zero credits on the machine when you keyed it. It must have zero credits or the key will not work. key 45 should work.

Well. I made copies of GME1 and GME2 for both SG000354 and SG000598. I used M27C1001 eproms. After clearing with 224 and keychip 45, the machine will not power up. It goes 3 to 4 secounds and there is a flash on the light diodes on the mpu, then again 3 to 4 secounds and flash again, and it repeates itself. Changing back to the SG000354 it starts right back up again, just with RAM error of course since I used the 224 clearchip,

Do I use wrong type of eprom or is it not compatible with my other chips? I have done a bin compare of the eproms just to be sure I wrote the correct bin files to them.. Can't see that I am doing anything wrong.

I am trying to change denom to 1. Also I am sure that I had zero credits when I tried to change denom.

Use M27C801 for GME chips.

Thank you. My mistake. M27C801 should be the correct one. Will try again

Changing to SG000354 solved the issue. I am now able to change denom

Only problem is that I can't get the progressive display to work with the new game chips. It says NO DATA. I have set up the machine as single progressive and data display. Is there a reason the netplex display is not working after changing game chips? It worked before with old game chips

If you cleared you must set the spectrum up again.
Follow the directions here for your machine settings.

Don't forget to auto configure the netplex when done.
