If you plan to key chip again you must make sure machine has “0” credits on it

You have an Enhanced board, so you do need to keep the Varta battery. Key 45 is what you need to get your machine going again. You cleared it with your 224 clear. Don't know who sent you a 24 key chip. IGT has 17, 22, 31 and 45 key chips

DP, your enhanced MPU uses a R board. The correct key chip is RBK00001. It performs clear & key functions. You can remove the Varta battery (recommended) but you must also remove the component at U16 or at least clip the 3 pins so it doesn't make contact. Therockinelvis is unintentionally steering you wrong. PM me if you need a key chip.

You have a R board game you clear and key with the rbk chip.
Turn off the machine. Remove the boot chip (not the SB) and replace with the rbk chip and power up.
The rest should be as described above.

More info
"Remove the boot chip and install the RBK00001 chip. Power it up.
Instead of waiting for the amber lights to come on, go to the screen menu, select Key Chip, "Apply Key Chip".  It'll say 'Spin Reels to apply Key Chip'. ..."Key Chip Applied".
Be sure to select 'RAM Options' / "Clear RAM" to avoid a 'Key Chip Access Failure', if you've saved before. (it worked for me anyway) Then 'Apply' the Key Chip.
Then power down and replace the Boot chip...

When you clear RAM, the alarm will go off at restart!    Just turn the reset key about 4 times through the listed errors, then it will ask you to push/hold the reset button on the MPU/board for 2 seconds.  You should end up with at "Key Chip" menu displayed... edit params from there.
