Back in business after replacing back plane board and MPU! Works great. Any easy options for having the bill validator take the new 50's or 20's?

Thanks!

Need to see what validator you have.  Depends on model as to what the latest available firmware is.  The WBA12/13 validators with last firmware update have the most acceptance where they will accept all bills except the new $100.

It is a DBV200, the latest update for that will take everything except new $5's and new $100's.  The version you have, if the sticker is correct, will accept all the black/white bills plus the new colored $20's.  But no other new bills.  The upgrade path depends on your unit, some were eprom based, others were flash based. You will have to remove the head and look under it to see if the head has an eprom chip (socketed 32 pin chip) or an SMD mounted flash nand.

Attached firmware information for that validator.

Like Rick said it's a DBV-200.  V2.61-04 firmware was the last update for it.  There were two types of DBV-200's, one had a flash chip and the other an EPROM.  If yours has an EPROM you can get an updated EPROM and install it yourself.  If it's a flash version you'll have to send the head to someone with the proper tools to update it.  You have to remove the head from the transport and flip it over to see what version you have.  If you're not sure post a picture and we can tell you.

If you have a 10mhz board you will see a blue wheel on the top left front corner. Just turn it some. The counter will shut up or it can be disconnected and a bypass harness installed

With the machine off follow the harness from the counters to the motherboard and unplug it.  No jumper required on s+.
