‘Ol girl started smoking today

I turned it on a little while ago and it immediately started the slow spin. I opened up the door and smelled burning and saw smoke coming from the black box. Does anyone know where i can get a replacement board? Also, what might have caused this? What is the function of this particular board?

Power supply for the bill validator.  The machine will work without it, but the validator won't.  Should be easy enough to find.  Post a WTB in the classified ad section or contact the vendors on the home page.

Very strange. I wonder if the tiny fuse was bad. Oh well. I never used the bill validation anyway. Would the slow spin have something to do with that?

May have glitched something when it died?  While the reels are spinning slow open the door & turn the jackpot reset key.  The reels should stop then close the door and the spin will finish.  Then it should work fine playing coins/credits.  I think there is a fuse in that power supply, but if it smoked & is blown replacing it will probably result in more of the same.

Oh y i have no intention of replacing the fuse. That board is FRIED. Just trying to figure out a cause. I’ll give the jackpot reset a try.

Glad you got it working again  :applause: .  If you decide you want to use the bill validator in the future just replace that power supply and it should be good to go.
