Need Help With A Bally 5500 Error 7.0

Helping a friend out with this machine. When he got the machine only thing came on was the florescent bulbs. Replaced the Mpu board with a good know working board. Machine came to life. Problem is when you drop in 2 coins they ding and register, soon as you press spin there is a chirp and the reels start to spin and keep spinning and get 7.0 error. From what I read 7.0 said door open during reel spin. With the door open I can press the white button below the CC and get 2 credits push spin button reels spin normal. I have changed the door switch, CC, optics. Don't know what else to check. Thanks for any help.

70 = Door Open During Reel Spin,  Any of the door switches have sensed a door open during a reel spin. Belly door switch, side door switch for bill stacker. And check the switches on the bill stacker also. Not sure if there is jumpers on the MPU for a slant top setting. ? If the MPU was setup for a slant top, if that is possible, and is installed into an upright and causing the error?

Try a clear.
Jumper out BV switches.

Thanks Alan, Sorry I forgot to mention that the BV had been removed. Would that have anything to do with the bypass you have listed? There would not be a BV to plug in.

Wow, not sure. If the head is not present I'm not sure the switches would still be in play. The BV switch info does go to the backplane board.

Nothing present. No head, cash box, all had been removed at one time.I will be with the machine tomorrow. Will look into it.

Problem solved. Thank you Alan & Tim. Problem was the cash can switch. Someone at sometime used a packing peanut to hold the switch closed.  :Scratch-Head:Apparently over time it lost its pressure and switch opened.
