MEI in BB2 Rejects Bill

I have a bb2 with a mei,  it accepts bills but rejects them with reading.  I used old and new bills the same thing.  I have the jumpers set 2/3 2/3 2/3 as mentioned in other post.  Any ideas what to check next. I don't get any errors in the setup screen.

Have you tried a different head.  If you get no errors, the configuration as far as the slot is concerned is correct.  These mei have a way of disabling certain bills by feeding it a sheet with the bills to accept or not.  There was a post on the old site with how that is done.

Here's what the mei coupon looks like, you push the button on front of head until the light turns green then insert coupon with circles filled in that you want enabled.

I tried the coupon, that did not do it.  I have tried several heads to no avail.  It just refuses to accept any bill.  The game is up there are no errors.  I cant think of any settings that might be an issue.  Open to any ideas.

Make sure that that head is a head flashed for WMS. It may be flashed for IGT , you can't interchange them

The heads are rs232 and most are labeled wms,  the bill limit is set to 3000 in the setup screen.   I am also going to setup another machine had been working to double check the bv heads.

Could this problem possibly be caused by a back plane board issue.

Only if someone plugged in a bill acceptor harness into the backplane while the power was on.
Did you see any BV working correctly in this cabinet,  before it stopped accepting bills?

No it has not worked in this machine, after configuring it it shows no errors but does not accept bills.

I changed out the IO card, it was working when it came out of another machine but failed in this one.  I probably should have checked it first as they are prone to fail.  Thanks to everyone for the help!
