Getting Printer Communications Error with TITO installed.  Worked since purchase several months ago then one day booted up and this error came up.

Tried replacing ribbon cable -  same error
Tried unplugging printer and rebooting - same error
Tried open close door several times - same error

Let's start from scratch.  What's the voltage on the MPU coin battery?  Do you have a green Varta battery on the MPU ?

Interesting... I am getting the same error.  I replaced the MPU battery some time ago but will give that a check.
My cable, netplex and power connecters seem to be okay, and I also have the TITO board installed for only like a month now.

Anyone hit similar issues?

Assuming the MPU battery is ok, the problem could be with the printers comm board. Go into the menu 4.3 and "Auto-Configure Netplex Devices" and see if this straightens it out. If not, you might try another printer.

I've never had a problem with a TITO board before and doubt it's the problem, but if you want to rule it out just unplug it for a while and see if the error still occurs.

I had this same problem yesterday.  I replaced the printer, cables and MPU with no luck.  I changed the power supply, and the error was cleared.
I plan on testing the suspected bad PS in another machine just to confirm it is bad.

Well, I had time today so I replaced the MPU battery, cleared and key-chipped, but still could not get the printer to enable anymore. Once I enable the printer it goes to Netplex Autoconfigure and then back to disable. The printer error light stays on. I left the printer disabled for now and I can still load credits from the Tito@Home via service button, and voucher redemption off the bill accepter is working, but no printing for cash out. :(

Can the Gen 1 printer be replaced with the Gen2 universal model printer? Perhaps it is time to try it out? I don’t think the power supply is the issue on mine. Curious if others had a bad PSU what was the voltage output on the “bad” supply.
