I have 2 Universal machines and a Bally Game Maker, I normally run them 24/7 but damn it with the power hike in my area it's adding up and hate to sell the machines.
I was thinking of running them on a timer, I found a 4 plug surge protector with built in timer for $20 some dollars that is listed as heavy duty...
Now my question is:
- Will this accelerate wear and tear on the internals of these older machines (especially the Universal where parts are hard to get)?
- Will this hurt the power supply in the machines?
- Starters and bulbs I know will hate cycling on and off but replacing starters and bulbs isn't hard or too expensive.
Basically....is this a bad idea? I would hate to open them every day/night to turn them on/off inside manually.
Want them to run from 9AM to midnight on the timer.
Thanks guys and gals!
