I posted this in the classifieds but wanted to show it here too with a few pics. I originally thought I needed a new monitor/unit but turns out I didn't.
Gave it a good once over and found a cooked transistor on the board. Was able to locate an exact replacement on eBay, solder it in and it's back in biz.
The board was so baked that the middle hole for the center pin just snapped off when I tried to install the new one. I figured out what that pin is supposed to connect with and ran a bypass with a heavier-gauge automotive wire (because of the heat).
Also, the original transistor wasn't even soldered in anymore. It fell right out after I unscrewed it from the heat sink. I've never seen that before.
For reference, the transistor is a BU2525AF.
So now it's back in our game room and working. Super happy about it because I was starting to get convinced that it would never get repaired.
