S9000 Elite - No light on LED buttons

Hi,

I own a Bally Alpha S9000 Elite 5 reels.

Absolutely everything works EXCEPT the light of the LED buttons.

5v and 24v power supply are OK

The cable harness to the motherboard is OK

LED buttons are OK

However I have no voltage coming out of the connector P13 - PLAYER SWITCHES LED which is on the motherboard.

What is failing ? MPU or motherboard ?  :Scratch-Head:

There's probably a backplane issue, it's probably one of the micro fuses on the backplane that has no continuity.  These backplanes are cheap and plentiful and probably not worth trying to fix the one you have now.

Bad news... :no:


Ok in continuity test and I have 1.1 ohms... It makes me think that this fuse is good.

Do you have 12 volts going into the fuse?  Could be in another area.

Hello,

Good news and bad news...

I had spend more time to my voltage verification...and I have the good voltage on the molex connector (mother board and deck). I checked all the harness in continuity, everything is ok.


I think that the problem is on the MPU ... but it will start to get complicated to enter the bus logic, buffer, and other micro-controller. :no:
